Today we ran workshops at Milwaukee School of Languages, South Division High School, and visited Kenosha Unified School District!
Today we visited a few schools in the Milwaukee area. We started at the Milwaukee School of Languages, where my sister is a Spanish teacher. We visited her class and got to run a couple of coding workshops. The workshops generally went well, though there were definitely a few issues with the wifi speed. When the wifi works it is not something you think about, but when it is broken it can be quite frustrating.
No students in the class had done any programming before, and so we had a chance to do a first introduction to programming.
Zach also visited another school called South Division High School to run a workshop in a different part of Milwaukee.
Later in the day we headed down to Kenosha where we met with some administrators in the district who are hoping to bring in some coding classes.
