Today we visited Max S. Hayes High School and Rock River High School!
Today, we were in Cleveland, Ohio. We started our day with a visit to Max S. Hayes High School. The students have used CodeHS a little bit so far, and we got to run a workshop to help them to explore SQL as well.
After that we also did a visit to Rock River High School. We visited the AP Computer Science class, where students had just finished the AP test recently, and also got to visit a Digital Tech class where we ran a coding workshop. Many of the AP students told us they wished they could have used our review tools to study!
And the feedback from the Digital Tech class was fantastic: most students had never coded before and many said that they’d want to continue taking a coding class next year. For several students who had tried JavaScript before, but said it didn’t quite stick, they said CodeHS presented it to them in a fun, friendly and understandable way.
