We did a presentation and workshop at Community Christian School in Atlanta!
Today, we visited Community Christian School outside of Atlanta. This was a small school that doesn’t have a computer science program. We were invited by the teacher, Batavia Domingues, who is trying to get support and student interest at her school to bring in a computer science program. She sees the importance of coding, but wants to make sure her students and administrators do as well.
It’s a small school, but we had a full computer lab for our presentation. Not only did we have the older students, but we had some of the elementary students as well for the first part of our presentation on why you should learn coding.
After that, we moved into a normal coding workshop, and everyone was able to get going!
