This was a longer drive than we thought, about seven hours. We took 84W all of the way. The landscape varies a lot as you drive through Oregon. Right when you cross the border it looks a lot like Idaho, but then you see the trees, and drive along the Columbia River and see Mount Hood in the distance. It ends up being a great drive. We stayed at a hostel, saw the Portlandia statue, and met up with a friend from high school for dinner at a vietnamese place.
