We started the day in Birmingham, AL. We visited an AP CS and CS principles teacher at Hoover High School. Then we stopped at a best buy to get a mobile hotspot to make the workshop setup a little more portable. We saw the civil rights museum, and also the Sloss Furnaces, just minutes before it closed. We got haircuts at a small barbershop in Birmingham. Had food at a diner before heading out towards Atlanta. We stopped at a place called Lamar’s Donuts on the way on the recommendation of a teacher, but it was unfortunately closed.
