Today I was in LA. I started off the day by doing a workshop at Compton High School. We had about 40 students at the workshop, and it went really well! I got all of the students started with Karel, and I think everyone was surprised by how much they enjoyed it. Even the teacher gave it a try.
We had a few small hiccups getting started in terms of the technology, but were able to install Google Chrome on the computers in one of the labs to get everything working. After the workshop, I headed to 9-dots which has an after school tutoring program.
I walked around Hollywood a bit to take some photos, and had dinner at Galanga Thai Fusion. Was going to see a UCB show, but that didnt’ work out.
